Review on 📷 Top-Notch Performance: Camera Canon EOS 1D Mark IV Body in Sleek Black Design by Micha ukasiewicz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My impression of the purchase is good, buy it.

Here I am holding in my hands a brand new camera Mark IV and an old Mark III. I'll try to compare them. I don’t know how the first author noticed that in practice everything is very reworked, it seems to me that his review is custom advertising. This is indicated by another point, the author of the review does not use ISO more than 6400. Why? After all, the new camera holds already 102400 (the second author with the maximum iso was also mistaken, he looked at the photo in some kind of editor, and in jpg you can’t push the value of iso more than 65535, since it is encoded there by two bytes). So why is it only 6400 in the end. It's just that the really new camera works very poorly at high ISOs and the sensitivity of its sensor is not 16 times better than that of the Mark III, but only 2-3. Of course, Mark IV has taken a step forward, but not at all as big as it was stated by the manufacturer. Large ISO values just don't work. The trend of non-working ISOs, which is so nice to write like an advertit on a box, of course, was not started by Canon, but by Nikon with its D3. For Canon, this is more of a forced step. But this camera does not make a revolutionary breakthrough, although it declares it in the characteristics. I also can’t help but note that the new Nikon D3s still holds high ISOs. I am one of the happy owners of a bunch of Canon lenses, so for a very long time I was looking for information about what my new Canon is still better than Nikon D3s. If someone knows, write, I will be grateful. Regarding the color of the new Canon matrices, opinions are very different. In 2022, they seem to like bright colors with a brownish tint, so they say that this is good. I like it too. But bourgeois such color is scolded and they write that the new Nikon conveys colors more realistically. Personally, I like Canon's color reproduction more now, he has such a slightly filmy view of the world. Test photos for comparison can be viewed <a href="www. Walkservice. Pros
  • Characteristics are better than Mark III, sensitivity, for example, 2-3 times. The camera is really more convenient in terms of a more elaborate software interface. Information is constantly displayed on the LCD screen, and the quality of the LCD has greatly increased. Again, video recording with the highest image quality has appeared, although practically nothing will come of shooting (more on this in the shortcomings). It seems that the Mark IV has better autofocus than its closest compeor Nikon D3s. I couldn’t feel this, apparently I didn’t have much experience (the Mark III had very big problems with focusing, at first Canon lied for a long time that this was not the case, then they recalled a bunch of cameras for rework).
Cons
  • The characteristics are noticeably worse than what is declared by the manufacturer, ISO 51200 and 102400 are really non-working, although the maximum declared ISO worked on previous models. I would like manufacturers not to write in those. characteristics of at least prof. models. You can shoot video only in very static scenes when refocusing is not needed. Well, something like news on TV. If the object is out of focus, you need to press * to refocus, as a result the image will blur (defocus) completely and then focus again correctly. Yes, in this case, the exposure will still be adjusted, i. E. the picture will play darker/lighter. So here is a video. If anyone knows how to focus video on the fly with their hands on the lens, then it will be just right for him. I haven't been able to do it yet.
