I bought this lens with my recently purchased Sony A6000 camera. Works perfectly. 55 to 210 is a range I find incredibly useful as a wildlife photographer. While Sony's mirrorless camera isn't going to replace my full-fledged tier DSLR any time soon, this lens performs very well and the zoom range goes where the A6000's 16-50 lens leaves off. Very light, nice texture on the zoom ring; I bought my lens with little use and it expands and contracts very easily. I don't think the weight of the lens, its elements or the lens hood (which is also satisfactory) is really going to cause it to move and slip out of its set range, a lock to the lens at least at the 55mm point won't go unnoticed - but it's probably just me and my paranoia :/ In short; good lens for the money. Not phenomenal; The f4.5-6.3 range isn't perfect, but for the money you're paying it's quite adequate. It's light enough to feel out of place on a camera as small and light as the A6000, but not so light that it feels unreliable. Highly recommend for any hobbyist or prosumer in the market. The range of Sony lenses is still growing, but this is a nice new addition to the range and covers the base 70-200 range that any camera should achieve.
