I found these little gits right after the crowdfunding campaigns ended. This meant full price. Then I had to wait until they released the version with the cornice. I was so excited to get a pair and finally experience this automated curtain. Installation was easy. The app is what it is (I have other devices with switches and it's a bit out of place in today's smart world). The calibration was a bit verbose for something with graphics. This is also where I noticed the not-so-intelligent nature of this device. Should I tell him when he hits the breakpoints? Okay, this is just a minor thing now, and since I already have other elements to make this "smart" (remote, hub, etc.), it's not a big deal and not a problem at all for most. Then we come to the problem. 1. The motor is weak. When fully charged, it easily opens the curtains. It wasn't right to close them. The first (the big end of my 2 piece rod) slowly closed and I could hear the motor tension. He didn't slip, but he tensed. He managed to close the panel with the 52x72 grommet, but it didn't look like he intended to. The second plate (smaller side of the bar) started out exactly the same way, but about 6 inches from the end it started spinning. I tightened it as best I could and he did it a second time, but like the other side, he's annoying. I want these and they are under 1 year warranty so I will keep them. I'll be honest once that 1 year is up I'll probably hack one and see if I can replace the motor and associated electrical parts to get the power I need. I'm estimating it needs about 50-75% more power, but probably a lot more to add to the advertised weight. There is also a kind of design flaw. The slide that goes through the bar is clunky, oversized, and cheap. It seems that the designer has calmed down because he is tired of nothing working.
