This mattress is made entirely of foam rubber, a detail not currently listed in the product description. This detail is important. Foam mattresses are not suitable for newborn use as they tend to lose structural integrity over time. This mattress was also too soft right out of the box, even after allowing it to stretch for a week. I bought this for my one month old daughter who can't roll over yet. It's not safe for her. So. Back, right? No, not that fast. This is a foam mattress and is supplied compressed. Once opened, it will no longer fit in the box it was sent in. So unless you have a large TV box lying around, returning this item won't be easy. Be prepared to explain to Revain's support staff if you are not satisfied with this item. Overall a very bad experience. I want to return it but don't want to buy a $20 box to get a $80 refund. This item should not be marketed as suitable for newborns. It's too soft! Our son's Sealy Brilliant Nights mattress is much firmer for babies and costs about the same. I'm going to take another one and I don't know what to do with this one. craft foam?
