I am really impressed. To be honest I was very skeptical. I've tried many "natural" products that were just plain lies or didn't work. I've developed a healthy dose of skepticism. This product exceeded my expectations! My hair is quite long, mid-back. Undyed but naturally curly, curly/wavy and very dry. The only heat I use is using a flat iron on low heat every few days. Maybe I blow dry once a month. I try to treat it as best as I can, otherwise it'll turn into hay in the rat's nest 1) INGREDIENTS: The list of ingredients doesn't hide anything bad. I looked them all up on SkinDeep and they all passed the test. The dimethicone and the scent are the only things to argue about, but that really makes a fly a molehill. As far as I can tell, the only thing that would be gentler on the hair would be to just wash with water. Other "sulfate-free" hair products are so loaded with other harmful chemicals that sulfates are the least of your problems. I would say this product is 99% toxin free. That's more than enough for me. Actually it's really amazing. I'm amazed at what they were able to achieve with so few ingredients and how natural they are. 2) IMPRESSION: wow. I love my hair after using it. The hair is soft, easy to manage, less knotted and frizzy. It's just healthier! It straightens up more easily, and if I choose not to do anything about it, it's not such an awful mess that I can't leave the house. Can't comment on thickening or volume, but I didn't get it for that. I'm more interested in this being a non-toxic product that actually works. 3) CONS: The only downside is that my hair gets greasy faster. I wash my hair every 3-4 days. However, I have to wash a day earlier every 3 days or so. It's SO insignificant. But I mention it because when others experience it, they understand that it's not necessarily a bad thing. This will strip your hair of less oil. It's also like a detox phase. I'll have to wait and see if it gets better or worse over time. Again, totally insignificant and actually to be expected if you've ever tried the "no poop" approach. 4) FRAGRANCE: What others say about the clean smell of a hot tub is almost right. The scent is not heavy, but not light and airy either. It smells like you think hair products should smell. A distinctive feature is that it smells Elite. does it make any sense All in all, I think I've found a shampoo that I plan to use for the foreseeable future. I'm blown away by the ingredients. My hair was healthier after the first use and has been great ever since. It is a natural hair system with a level of comfort rarely found in similar products. Again, this is MUCH more than just sulfate-free. 99% free of toxins. For me, the stuff really does what it says on the tin, and that in itself is a small miracle. Oh, and the box was really pretty :) Wrap it in wrapping paper and the gift is ready.
