OUTDOORS: I used this extension with a screw-in street light with built-in motion sensor (under a rain canopy). The lamp moves in the wind and the motion sensor is triggered (bad). The flexible shaft is weak and doesn't hold rigid; the impossibility of adjusting the rigidity; So I replaced this flexible extension with a rigid extension. INSIDE: This power strip works well with another device that was in the room and just needed to be hung directly under the outlet. As advertised, this flexible extension doesn't hold any weight. So use this article properly. GENERAL: There was no problem screwing the extension into the existing deep lamp socket and the screws were properly aligned. RECOMMENDATION: Buy a rigid extension cord.
