Review on πŸ”¬ Mlogiroa Soldering Magnifying Magnifier Miniatures: Precision-enhancing Optics for Ultra-accurate Work by Norman Costello

Cheap for a reason

I just put the batteries in but there seems to be something wrong with the connections so the LED isn't working. From my experience of buying similar things from Aliexpress, this is normal. And this questionable quality control is probably why they can afford to charge less than other sellers of the same product. I suspect a screw is missing. I used the screw holding the knife holder to screw in the back of the lever anchor so you can move the levers up and down. I'm using a supposed butane torch, which the torch holder isn't designed for, so no waste. And the holder doesn't fall out when the armrest is on a flat surface, so I think it will work for people with a regular soldering kit. The magnifying glass should work the way I need it as I only need a magnifying glass. for some of my tiny jobs as my nearsightedness has been failing me lately. The magnifying arm isn't as flexible as expected, BUT I think part of that might be my fault for thinking the arm was longer than it actually is. I don't think I checked the description for magnifying glass length or anything like that at the time of purchase. There's no sleep mode or temperature control, and I don't remember the description saying anything about it. The heating output is low because the light does not work. I find that LED bulbs have low heat dissipation, so if that's an issue for you, you MUST be fine as long as you get the bulb with working battery connections. I think I noticed some oxygenation at one of the connectors, so maybe the bulb will still work if I clean it?
