Any clamp for the trunk CV joint seems tricky to install, but this one worked well as long as (1) the axle shaft is level and not sagging so that (2) the CV joint is inside the boot does not tip down, allowing you (3) to push the inner end of the bellows toward the engine and sit fully on it. Sitting is easier when you can manually rotate the axis while pushing the torso inward. (Note: If you need to get the car out of PARK by pressing the brake pedal to rotate the axle, make sure the calipers are still on the rotor or you will have trouble snapping the caliper back in place.) clamp with pliers; I used the Lyle 30500 which is also one of the few tools that actually grabs and removes the old clamp. Old clamps can move and leak grease if your car leans too much in corners, possibly because the anti-roll bars have come loose.
