Cheap, but can break.

Installed the first collar and found its remains on the garage floor after 2 short trips around town. He collapsed. I installed a new one with a little less effort. Hope this one lasts. It's good that there's more than 1 of them, and they're cheap. I used ear pliers as it should. That was enough for the front axles of the Audi A6 C5.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Disappointing - Motorcycles and Power Sports

There's nothing more frustrating than ordering from Revain and not getting what it says on the tin. Revane seems to suffer when reading the reviews. In most cases, if a product has more than 5% 1-star ratings, you better pay attention to it. Like other reviews I only got big streaks. Now I have to order again. Also, like the other reviews, I'm pretty sure they are of poor quality as well.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet

brackets garbage! - Boots and CV Joints

All (4) 4" clamps broke when pulled off the pavement. The 1st broke while crimping the tongue. The rest broke on the holders. Never had this problem when replacing dust bags. Replaced many crimp and sliding yoke cuffs as a mechanic. Conclusion Extremely cheap quality. Should take the advice of previous reviews. But I thought maybe they're doing it wrong or they don't have the right tools. You were right. Now I'm looking for a powerful clamp.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Cheap quality. Lasted about 3m before it broke

I used these clips to hold my CV trunk up after changing it. On examination this clamp appeared to be of good strength and quality. It ran well and curled as it should, everything seemed to be going well until I took it for a test ride to make sure it held up. When I returned, the clamp was found 10 feet from the parking lot where it was parked prior to the test ride. It snaps into one of the corners of the part, which is compressed to hold the tension. Needless to say I was very disappointed.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Good product if you need it in a pinch

Unlike other reviewers I have used it twice and it has been successful both times and stands up to CV boots on the Camry and Santa Fe. I already knew about the possible problems, so install it very carefully. You should tap the end of the clamp with each slight pull. If you don't, the first pin will fall out and the other two will get stuck on the boot. And you must use the right tool or else it will fail. Not to say that it digs inside (in the trunk), which I don't like. All in all not…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Has flaws

No worse than the originals that came with the car.

Any clamp for the trunk CV joint seems tricky to install, but this one worked well as long as (1) the axle shaft is level and not sagging so that (2) the CV joint is inside the boot does not tip down, allowing you (3) to push the inner end of the bellows toward the engine and sit fully on it. Sitting is easier when you can manually rotate the axis while pushing the torso inward. (Note: If you need to get the car out of PARK by pressing the brake pedal to rotate the axle, make sure the calipers…

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Hard to say
