upgrade, the buttons have multiple functions, i can control both my smart tv and blu-ray recorder with this compact remote control. I removed the other two original remotes that had more buttons than needed. Would happily buy again if needed, not a dog to eat but a little grandson who loves to tidy things up. Arrived a week early, great service. I received exactly what I ordered, put in batteries and used it immediately better than the original. Very happy with my purchase. I read that some people had trouble removing the back panel to insert batteries, they must not have had thumbs! It's clearly marked with an arrow on the case, press here and it slides off easily and twists back to close. Not hard. Love the feel, it feels good in hand and the buttons are easy to find, much better than the original which has too many buttons that never get used. I bought 1 extra for my wife so we don't have to fight over the remote.
