Let's get down to business

Let's get down to business. understand,"point". Anyway, this thing has its pros and cons, including using the sharpener effectively (at least the one I have). Pros: This little grinder chews on pencils like a dog on a piece of steak that fell off your plate. I mean, you stick this graphite-filled piece of wood into a small round hole and the motor instantly turns it into a smooth, pointed spear. It's quick, easy, and efficient - with one caveat - the point is off-center. What comes on cons. Cons: This is a single-shank sharpener. It has a very sharp piece of steel that twists and turns at the same time (I know this is kind of a joke). This means you won't always get the focal point centered and your pen will sharpen unevenly. So, as noted in other reviews, kids sharpen forever and never get a "sharp" pencil, they never get a usable sharp lead. Workaround: You should be able to determine which side of the sharpener the blade is preferred on. Just hold the pencil so that the focal point of the lead is at an angle so that the lead becomes a point. It's not perfect or practical, but given the low price, sharp blade, powerful motor, and again low price, it's worth the money. I gave this one 3 stars for its low price and smooth sharpening, not more because it sharpens crookedly.
