Excellent product. If you look at the photos with all the negative and some positive reviews, you can see a wide range of manicures. Some look terrible and some are fine. If a manicure looks awful, it's not the product, it's the application. The gel is complex and it took me many uses to get mine perfect. I've also found that if I don't clean my nails, nail dust and cuticles get into the base coat. In this case, your base layer is not working properly. I will probably never run out of a bottle because after 10 manicures I found my base coat had residue and just had to be thrown away. As for the top coat leaving parts of the nail intact, I always use good lighting when all layers are applied. This ensures I get good coverage of my top coat. It is very important to shake the base and top coat thoroughly before application. I think I have a longer manicure. Now I've enhanced the French lace look as shown in the photo. I love this top and base coat.
