Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very simple which makes them profitable

We have several of these kits installed here in my shop. Revains ($23). Updated installation guide to show replacement studs face down instead of up. We've never had a set with bolts that were too short. Yes, these are grade 5 bolts while the factory bolts are 8.8, but they tighten perfectly. So the best thing is the installation. The instructions call for the ball joint to be split. This is a bunk. We simply unscrew the inner end of the CV/axle from the diff flange. 5 screws. The outer end of the axle does not need to be removed. Turn the axle to the side and there you are. Yes, a screw rests directly on the axle when installed, but you can gently drive the screw into the axle with the help of a ball point and drift. EASY PEASY.2 guys (because you need 3 hands) and done. in 15 minutes. We do it with a hoist, but I don't think it's any harder with a jack. Actually I'm going to try the following on the ground, just with the help of a jack.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No
