I received this heater in December when our 65 gallon turtle tank was getting cold. That works great! We have a 100 watt version (we fill the tank about half full for about 30 gallons). The tank took some time to heat up, but it reached and maintained a comfortable temperature of 72 degrees. We confirmed this using a heat gun and our external tank thermometer. You don't have to stick to 72 either; The heater allows you to set it to a wide range of temperatures. Just set and forget. The only thing you need to check is to make sure it's fully submerged in water; There is a risk of fire if the water level is below the heater (as seen in other reviews). Our turtle loves it too. When it's not floating or heating, it hovers over a heater and enjoys the warmth it radiates. Overall great product.
