EDIT: I finally had a chance to see if it really is waterproof and it is. I also wanted to update this review as I also had the chance to wash it as some reviews said it was ruined after washing. Washing didn't spoil or damage it. The only issue I had was that it was told to tumble dry it on low/air. I did and it sat in the dryer for almost an hour without drying (in the new dryer). So I put it on high heat for 20 minutes and prayed it wouldn't go bad. It still wasn't completely dry so I applied it for another 20 minutes on high heat and everything was perfect. I read all the reviews and went back and forth for a few days before finally deciding to take the plunge and order it. Most people say it's actually waterproof, but I haven't tested it yet. Our son comes and goes to bed with us a lot and sometimes he drips horribly through his diaper at night and we just bought a new king size bed and I didn't want it to go bad. Haven't been able to test it yet to see if it keeps even the slightest bit of moisture off the mattress because damn as soon as we put it on the bed our son didn't show up at night. lol But what bothered me the most was that several people in their reviews said they got very hot and sweaty at night after putting it on their bed. I get hot at night when I'm alone and I definitely didn't want to add anything to my bed that would make me even hotter. But I took into account that most people said it wasn't, so I went along with it. When we put it on the bed I was happy that it fit very well and didn't change the feel of the bed at all. It doesn't make any noise when you move and I was very happy to know that I didn't get hotter at night. Another plus for that. After putting it on the bed our sheet didn't pull away from the mattress anymore so the added bonus is that it keeps the sheets in place. So overall I love this product! I will update if anything changes.
