Okay first of all these devices didn't look like the picture on the internet. There must be an accurate description of what you receive and it must be what is shown. Now the other aspect is that these devices actually made my line noise worse. I have a lot of electronics hooked up to the data cabinet so I was really hoping this would reduce the noise a bit. I had an old DSL filter from my old Verizon setup that I wasn't using. The worst noise was on my Polycom, so I started using a filter on the main line input. After comparisons, line noise was actually captured or amplified. I disabled everything, removed a few lines from things like UPS etc and made just a small change. I went to my office and put it right between the Polycom and the outlet - and the hissing got louder than before. Then I used my old DSL filter and it didn't cut the noise 100% but definitely better. I removed and installed this new filter and it was noise again. As mentioned, I did some comparison tests with my old filter and the new one and I had side effects. Obviously I can't hack them without being able to send them back for a refund. They are very light compared to my other filters, so the question is is this anything more than a simple splitter (just splitting the wires internally into two category 3 phone jacks). Anyway it didn't work for me :(
