Great boots, especially for the price. The size of the horse fits both my 1000 lb caecum gelding 15.2 hr and my 1000 lb thoroughbred gelding 16.1 hr. I won't be using them for competitions just as training shoes but they are good enough to use for something like that if someone wants to. They are strong, durable, easy to clean, non-slip and have a memory foam material inside to make them comfortable for your horse's hooves. The two straps that go over your horse's front legs are elasticated and then convert into Velcro to attach to the side of the gaiter. However, these two Velcro straps are very long and I shortened them at the end.
