In my opinion these drawers open too easily. I barely touch them and they seem to open on their own to the point that when I actually try to open them, no effort is required. I have previously purchased several square boxes from the same company and they are great. They have a very positive *click* when you close them and don't open until you press the bottom tab. This can be annoying for some, but I like it a lot because I know the box won't open until I want it to. I thought I would get the same in the rectangular version as they are from the same company but that is not the case. I dropped one of the rectangular boxes about 3 inches onto the countertop (to simulate an accidental fall) and although it landed on the bottom, the lid popped open immediately. The sizes are great, but I'm debating returning them because they're just not safe. Maybe I just got a bad batch?
