I'm a bit embarrassed that Covergirl is my favorite mascara after trying so many expensive mascaras over the years. Common to all the others was their "compacted" or "fullness" effect, which I found thick and clumpy. I prefer long, curled lashes without clumps. This mascara doesn't leave lumps, which I really like. A little trick I discovered one day when I ran out of mascara: I could apply any of the "thickening" mascaras I had but then use this applicator to lengthen the remaining mascara and get rid of the clumps, left over from the other mascara. It helped me until my replacement came.
