Review on Eheim COMPACTON 1000 Aquarium Pump - High Performance Black Pump for Optimal Water Circulation by Sheri Zhao

I don't understand all the reviews of this pump being noisy, I don't think it's noisy at all. I use it in a homemade 3.5 gallon bucket aquarium canister filter. Now that it's submerged in water in a sealed bucket, my noise estimate may obviously be overstated. But this is a great pump, just what I was looking for. It is adjustable, strong but not too strong, very compact, with a suitable nozzle for 1/2 ID hoses, I would buy again. I'll say one thing, and it's very specific to my application, that the power cord is flat and you can't put a flat cable in a cable gland. I ended up stripping the wire and threading the black and white round wires through two small cable glands - wish I had to, but oh well. Finally, the mount for this pump has been amazingly redesigned! It's like a 4 pound pump! But hey, I don't mind. The thing is very well built!
