I was glad to get this mirror; as similar models have been used in most major hotels for many years, it is time to bring one into the home. There are a few issues with this mirror to be aware of: The mirror mounts and hinges are not perpendicular to the base of the mirror, so if you mount the mirror so that the base plate is correct and plumb, your mirror will tip down . a little. Upon closer inspection, the bottom half of the hinge is off-center by a full 1/4 inch. Apparently that's how it was done. If you pull them all the way down there is a good 1/8 inch clearance between the nut and the base of the mirror. This causes the mirror to wobble as the nut cannot put enough pressure on the base to hold it securely. I had to use #8 chrome nuts under the cap as spacers. The base plate is significantly smaller than the base of the full mirror so keep this in mind when drilling the holes to install/install the base plate. If you mount the baseplate flush with something (e.g. a molding) the mirror will not sit squarely on the baseplate - it will hit the molding/corner/etc. - The mirror looks very cheap; It's fingerprints like crazy, not sure I'd recommend this to friends.
