Beware of mold inside

After about a year of use, mold started to appear on the top of the image. It is impossible to get into this part of the image as can be seen from the attached image. I don't know what caused it; took excellent care of our painting; Filter change, cleaning as instructed etc. I have stopped using the jug until I get a reply from the company with an explanation if any.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons

Waste a lot of water.

I ordered this device because Consumer Reports gave it the highest overall rating. I was surprised to read that the filter needs to be rinsed before use. But what really put me off is that I read that I have to fill the water jug 3 times and drain the water each time the filter is changed. Filling the jug takes a long time and also wastes a lot of water. I will continue to use my Zero water filter.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Be careful, mold will form.

I have had this jug for a year now. Clean the inside with vinegar as directed each time you change the filter. Now we noticed the mold growing between the plastic inserts at the top edge of the jug. There is no way to get into this zone to clean. I don't know if there is a leak somewhere for water to enter that area as there shouldn't be water in that area. Would not recommend this item.

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • piggy bank price

There were problems with the filter indicator (did not change color when the filter was supposed to be changed). Contacted CLEAR2o support via email. After explaining the problem and following the troubleshooting instructions, it was determined that a jug replacement was required. The new jug works great and we are very grateful for the quality of customer service. That's why we gave it a 5 star rating.

Pros
  • is understandable even for the old
Cons
  • packaging is ugly

No weird taste! good for pitcher water filter

We have recently moved to a new state and despite my faithful Brita the water has tasted strange. My husband and son flatly refused to drink it and I spent a ton on bottled water. I was looking for other cleaners but came across this one. I had never heard of this brand but saw great reviews and decided to give it a try as it wasn't too expensive. Man I'm glad I did! Immediately noticed a difference in water taste, no aftertaste! My family loves it and I don't spend money on bottled water…

Tasty water but drips from the spout

Water tastes good, the design of the jug is attractive and fits perfectly in the fridge, but the design of the spout is poor, it drips a lot no matter how carefully you pour it . I solve this problem by pouring water into a beautiful glass watering can. While the jug holds six cups, the area filled for filtering only holds about four, so the jug needs to be filled twice to filter out six cups. However, I have encountered similar issues with other brands of filter jug and overall I like this jug

  • Best
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Incredibly slow best in jug water filters

I think the water is a little better than what Brita makes. I am most interested in removing high levels of chlorine from city water. Brita got the job done pretty well, but I figured if I was going to go through a water filtration process I'd upgrade it. It's too slow to be practical on any level. You can fill up the tank, which is quite small, and make dinner and it still won't be full. Brita might not be that good, but that's enough. The design of the pot is also rather poor. It splatters…

I love this water filter pitcher

I love this water filter pitcher! It has been independently tested and approved by the NSF. Consumer Reports, an independent testing organization, ranks it the highest of any water filter pitcher, and Brita doesn't even make the list (maybe it's not that good, which is why they're not sending it in for testing). Easy to fill with water, just open the lid and fill up. It takes about 10 minutes to filter the water but I always keep it full of water in the fridge so it's not a problem. I like the…

Not suitable for intensive use

I have been using the Cler2O pitcher for almost 3 months. It's just too small, not enough power. We keep topping it up and the gravity filtration is a slow process made worse by the small tank. It takes two fills to fill a pitcher. The edge of the container lid is a bit sharp, making it awkward to open. I am not a fan of this product. Can't really comment on the taste - I mainly use it to add water to a one-cup egg for coffee or tea, not drinking water. It's probably okay, we liked the filter's
