
I have an HP laptop and a Dell monitor that I use to extend the display. The resolution of the HP laptop is 1920x1080 and the resolution of the Dell monitor is 1920x1200. I have no problem connecting the VGA directly to the laptop and use both monitors in extended display mode. When I connected a Dell monitor using a VGA to USB adapter, the display portion of the Dell monitor was lower quality, not as sharp, distorted, and flickered from time to time. I've gone through all sorts of advanced settings (I'm using Windows 10) and nothing helped. I considered myself a fairly experienced user. I don't think this adapter can handle my setup.
