Review on 🎡 Numark PT01USB: Portable Vinyl-Archiving Turntable for 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM Records by Dila Annisa ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice price, good quality.

I use it to re-record gramophone records and LPs. But I do not use the software that comes with the kit, but found on the network. At the same time, I found that when recording when connected to a computer via USB, there are no basses in the recording, and the recording is monophonic two-channel. Whether it was like this from the moment of purchase or after a while the ADC refused, I don’t remember. I solved the problem simply by connecting the player with a headphone output to the line input of the sound card. Satisfied with the quality of the recording. I bought needles for 78 turns in an American online store. If this player does not withstand many re-recordings of gramophone records, I will buy a more serious player.

Pros
  • The simplicity of the device, low weight, the ability to buy needles for 33 and 78 turns.
Cons
  • - lack of autostop; - low-power drive (when wiping the record with a brush, you have to turn on 78 revolutions, otherwise the disc may stop); - plastic disc - the metal axis of the disk does not rotate (this disk rotates around a fixed axis), so you have to carefully monitor the position of the plate with a worn hole (gramophone, for example); - the electrophone panel, unlike, for example, from Soviet players, is fixed rigidly in the case, without damping on the springs; - there is nowhere to put the power supply (it is external), except perhaps only in its cardboard box.
