I think these scales are accurate, although the "0 mark" changes every time you stand on the scale. The solution, of course, lies in the handy handle on the bottom, which you can use to recalibrate the scale. But does it have to be done every time? On the other hand, one of the downsides of digital scales is that they seem to "stick" on certain numbers unless the fluctuation exceeds at least 1 pound. With these weights it's different. Another problem is that apart from a few springs and the like, this scale is made entirely of plastic. All in all, not a bad scale considering the low price.
