Review on πŸš— Boys' Atlasonix RC Car by Ryan Rea

Funny BUT spend a little more for a stronger and more durable toy.

Bought for my 4 year old grandson. (Bought a $35 RC Rock Crawler Truck for my 7 year old brother's birthday and wanted something for the younger one). It was a lot of fun at first - the spinning wheels, the car tipping over and the ease of use - the 4 year old had no problem with the remote control. However, as the day progressed, the actual axis of the car shifted just a little - one wheel was slightly further from the body than the other. A simple car wouldn't work like this unless you jacked it up and "aligned" the axles by hand so they were equidistant from the body. It wasn't difficult but it did require lifting the car, adjusting the wheels to line up with the body and putting them back on the roller - very frustrating for a 4 year old and someone who had to do all of this the time. Not to mention that the 4-year-old naturally wanted a 'big' car, like his older brother. Finally, the next day, I bought a $30 radio-controlled tracked car that a 4-year-old could take outside and drive like crazy on a concrete driveway and a gravel road that climbed over boulders and steps. So, bottom line - I wanted to love this little car, but paying only $10 for a car with higher ground clearance was a MUCH better choice for us.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Not the best
