Review on Gislaved Nord Frost 200 205/55 R16 94T winter by Boguslawa Terpeluk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

I want to note that the NF3 was also a very good model (for VAZ, Audi 80) NF5 was an excellent model (for Octavia TOUR 3 seasons, Octavia FL 106 hp 3 seasons, Skoda Superb 200 hp 3 seasons) Next was NF 100 (Audi A6, 180 hp 3 seasons) The NF 100 is a bit disappointing in every way. Now A6, Diesel 190 hp I bought tires in the fall of 2022. But the main thing for operation except for rubber: 1. A good tire fitting is a rarity in our time. When buying, I changed the tires in the store, which I regretted very quickly. I went to "My Own", where they aligned everything in place and balanced it as it should. Incompetent tire fitting leads to uneven wear, as a result, you can say goodbye to any tires in 1 season. 2. Correctly "roll" the spikes. I usually drive 300-400 km very carefully. It turned out that in the first season after the "break-in" - in general, I did not spare rubber in the city, on asphalt. Gas brake. Pedal to the floor. At the end of the season - there is almost no wear, all the spikes are in place. ALL! Now we have a funny season, there was almost no snow this winter and probably won’t be, but because. I often drive out of town, sometimes there is ice, and - at least "drive the puck", it's slippery to stand on my feet, and my ABS doesn't even work. It happens during acceleration that the traction control system works, because. the motor is powerful, but it is 1-2 seconds. (and this is a clear indicator of how slippery the road is) 3. Select the optimal pressure. Many people think that, as it is written in the manual for the car, this is how it should be - nonsense. If I pumped up, especially in winter tires 2.7 - 2.8, I would drive like a cart, kill the suspension faster, and wear would progress more intensively. Now on the size 235/50 -18, I download 2.3 - no more. Approximately the same level was on smaller sizes 2.1 - 2.3. In conclusion, I have something to compare with, because. other brands (I will not name them) are installed on company cars, which I sometimes used. Compared to the Gislaved NF, it's not very comfortable to say the least. You can ride, but you always expect a catch.

Pros
  • Great tires! It has been on different NF models for 15 years already. The most important advantage is absolute predictability in any conditions and at any speed (up to 170 km / h, no more). Driving mode city (St. Petersburg) + highway (Leningrad, Hong Kong, Novgorod region). During the winter season I roll 8-10 thousand km. Front-wheel drive, full is not required, although every week I go out of town - to the country house, or even much further. Is this a consequence of the operation of this rubber - I think that it is 50% yes, the rest is the design features of the vehicle.
Cons
  • Didn't find it.
