I checked a $50 or less tracking watch first; 2 died within 2 days and the 3rd was hanged on the 3rd day. I finally decided that you get what you pay for and bought a Garmin Venu sq and have been happy with it for almost 3 months now. It lives up to its advertised description and its app offers great information in both succinct and detailed form. It can work with 2 different GPS systems. As far as I know, separate American and European systems, which I believe contributes to better GPS accuracy. Its ability to view text and email messages and call notifications is excellent. It doesn't offer a watch link for phone calls, just to be clear, but it does offer the ability to press a button for 3-4 seconds and it will notify someone you choose that you need help. Because of the GPS, it sends a message as well as your exact location so they know where to get help. This is a great smartwatch that you won't regret.
