Please note that this side table is LOW. I plan to use it next to the cot which we put as the first bed after the cot. I love that child safety-wise it's round with no sharp edges, and the beveled edge seems to help a toddler avoid pushing a water bottle or night light right off the edge. It doesn't feel very sharp or dangerous, so it's perfect for a young child's room. The low side table is also perfect for a cot, but I'm not sure how useful it is other than being unobtrusive. space since it is low as it is. You need a very low sofa or chair to use it. The sofa shown in the picture is the lowest in our house and it still looks a little too small next to it. The drawer is not on any rails and has no stop, so it simply slides out as far as it will go. I am assuming this may be a recurring problem with the toddler as no doubt they will pull this out non-stop once it's sorted out. It also came with a drawer loosely positioned right in the main compartment and the white paint on the top of my drawer had chipped on arrival where it was probably rattling there. The legs are made from beautiful, lightweight natural wood and are easy to screw on. without tools. The handle on the front drawer really needs to be screwed on, and honestly, if I ever have an extra metal handle for my DIY adventures, I might replace it with something more modern later. Overall I would recommend it, but maybe only for kids rooms and kids rooms due to its shrunken stature.
