Bought them in October to light the roof of my house. The cables are strong and easy to work with. I was able to cover about half of my 1000 sq ft roof with this 100ft kit. It looks good because it's one long string, not multiple 30 or 50 foot sets. I also find that it helps a lot with waterproofing. I left the headlights in place for 3 months and they have withstood freezing rain and snow. The controller still works and allows for a few effects, but I left mine enabled. Overall, these are the most valuable strings I could find and are perfect for outdoor accent lighting. Please note that the ends of these lamps are not standard sockets, they have a special plug that only accepts more of these lamps. You can add 4 extra lines for a total of 500 feet of light, which is a lot of light in one controller.
