serial number cross referenced to original receiver and it was a perfect match. All my locks were fine but I recently bought a car - NO CONTROLS. So I rated them. Since all the aftermarkets got negative reviews I decided to buy the whole set. As for the transmitter/receiver, it costs a little more. The box and instructions say it's for the CR-V, but it worked fine with my Element. I believe any 03-11 Honda that has a regular immobilizer key will be compatible. Replacing/installing a new one took about a minute and a half. And the remotes didn't even need to be programmed. Works perfectly! The only problem I'm having is figuring out how to get the doors to auto-lock after accelerating past 10mph - like most Hondas do. But this is a much needed update.
