I don't know why these polyester tablecloths are called linen but they fit my needs perfectly. Where I'm from, plastic tablecloths - no, no! So when I started looking for cheap fabric tablecloths for the 4th of July, these caught my eye. I figured they cost about the same as renting tablecloths, and if I can successfully wash them without falling apart, they'll last until the next event. As it turned out, these tablecloths are the same as in the picture and have a lot of weight. Not a bit flimsy or transparent. And wash well! This washed like a dream! In fact, pulling these smooth towels out of the dryer was such a pleasure that I wondered why we gave up polyester so many years ago.
