I had an Acer display once and it was awful. Quality, corporate identity was not there at all, but that was a long time ago. High frame rate gaming is in the game now, and Acer seems to be one of the solid options out there (due to its close relationship with Nvidia, I think). Anyway, I researched almost everything on the market before buying this one. I would like to go for the dream setting of 4K+144+Hz, but I think it's a bit early for that if you don't have a lot of free space. 1440p 144Hz ips is enough to get a decent gaming experience with a quality panel that's generally used to display more accurate colors than other panel options. - The overall design of the Predator logo on the monitor may appeal to some gamers, but as a designer I know it could be better. The red border (glow effect) is perhaps a little too much, but overall its slim design can easily match Dell's processing, at least for the visible part. The stand has the same red accent on the tips of the legs and all over the body. looks like a phoenix man's leg. It's pretty solid and I modified it to work with another display as I was using an Acer wall mount. The reason I had to modify the stand for another Vesa display is because there are two protrusions on the stand's metal plate for the original display to snap onto. Bending it with pliers was pretty easy though, and as it stays behind the monitor it doesn't have to be perfect. There are no dead pixels, which is great. I can't imagine the frustration with those conversations and the round trip shipping. if it were Luckily I didn't have any. The menu buttons are ok, some say it's not the best experience and I agree, but they're ok, no problems so far. It comes with a Gsync sticker, although that should be optional. Image quality, brightness and pixel density are well balanced for a gaming monitor, people who want more can consider other options to get 4k 144 or better, which is affordable but quite an expensive investment for a gamer's soul. better than my previous setup (60Hz ips 1080p + old GPU). I wonder if this is significantly better for people with a 120hz monitor because although I get 144 it drops to 70-120 when playing at full resolution. Lowering the resolution will certainly bring it back up to a higher frame rate, but playing 1080p on a 1440p display is just plain frustrating. That being said, I think maintaining a constant 144Hz frequency is not an easy task, if not impossible. Verdict: This is a 1440P 144Hz IPS monitor with full gsync, so no problem if you have the right hardware. There aren't many products on the market right now that can give you all of these features.
