I really like this vacuum sealer. I have tested vacuum sealers extensively and in this price range this machine stood out. I'm so glad I bought this. I've used this machine for about 10 hours each day for 3 consecutive days to pack 60 meals for my daughter who travels the Continental Divide Trail. This vacuum sealer worked without any problems. Only hard foods with sharp edges, like some pasta (e.g. rigatoni, spaghetti), can have problems with vacuum packaging (which the company warns consumers about). Hard, sharp edges can puncture the bag, breaking the seal and releasing air. Otherwise it works perfectly. It's as easy to understand as to use it. I learned this in a couple of trial runs (making custom pouches with just the sealing feature and placing the top of the pouch in a vacuum chamber). I've vacuumed literally hundreds of foods: rice, pasta, herbs, vegetables (dried carrots, green onions, peppers, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc. sour cream, butter, tomato powder, etc. Even if you send proof of purchase to the company, do you get a gift - either extra bags (bags are also included with the vacuum sealer) or accessories, I opted for the extra bags which they provided in bulk and which turned out to be very handy for how many I need, got sucked It's rare to find an affordable product that is so reliable that it lasts a long time Say enough good things about this product as it made a difficult task that much easier.
