I bought one of these last year when the first wave of demand for masks impacted N95 supplies. By default this is for face protection in airsoft or similar sports, so there is no built in filtering. However, since the mask's plastic body and straps are shipped separately, this item can be easily modified by placing some HEPA filter material or a disposable face mask in the "void" between the plastic mouth and the strap's mesh layer. You can then easily swap out the material to keep it fresh all the time. The velcro straps hold up well (initially) which makes this my goggle for indoor workouts with other people. skipping, sprinting, weightlifting; The straps hold tight no matter what you're doing. The only thing stopping this from five stars is that the strap material wears down over time. Almost a year after purchase, the velcro isn't holding up as securely as it used to, and the neoprene material on the front of the mask is starting to age and wear down. As I write this review I will be buying a new one to replace the one I had last year. All in all, it's a fun starting point for making your own workout-friendly drip/aerosol mask.
