This top case really works! I thought of buying a cheaper plastic box at a hardware store and cutting out the entrance, but settled on this one because the top cap has zigzag grooves. This greatly reduces the amount of dirt on my floor. However, there are a few things to consider. This only works if your cat steps forward on the lid, causing the litter to fall from her paws onto the lid. My cats have tried jumping right to the side of the box which brings in more litter than you can imagine. So I made a few adjustments to this drawer and its position. First I drilled equal holes all over the lid to allow the filling to fall back down. Second, I placed the box in a confined space where my cats only have one way of getting in and out. The only way out is to slowly climb onto the lid, go forward and go down. This won't work if your cats like to jump out and the litter box is outside. Overall, after a few adjustments, I'm very happy with it and plan on getting another one soon.
