You get what you pay for. A cheap alternative to the pro controller. Emphasis on cheap.

I don't want to say this controller has no redeeming qualities, I do need to keep in mind that this controller is under 1/3rd the price of an official pro controller. But still, the downsides are far too glaring for me to ever consider using this controller once I'm doing reviewing it.The build quality is very middle-of-the-road. The face buttons (ABXY) feel great, and the analog sticks feel pretty good on a surface level, but R/L/ZL/ZR all feel super cheap, with ZR/ZL having way too much travel time and being incredibly mushy feeling. The d-pad is nearly unusable. It's worse than the Xbox 360's D-pad. The 2 buttons on the back feel like mouse buttons. They are loud and clicky, with no resistance what so ever.Gyro aiming works fine, the rumble motors are strong which is a plus for me. It works wirelessly or wired. The RGB on the analog stick rings look pretty cool. The biggest issue for me is one that is very hard to describe. In any games that require heavy precision, there is a very noticeable lag to some actions, and it happens regardless if you're in wireless mode or using a cord. I noticed this the most in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. When playing, I noticed I was consistently having issues doing smash attacks. If you aren't aware, smash attacks are a type of attack performed by quickly flicking the analog stick in a direction, then pressing the A button right after. For some reason I could only get them to work around 60% of the time, every other time it would be a tilt attack instead. Tilt attacks are similar to smash attacks, but you slowly move the analog stick before pressing A. If I swapped to another controller, such as my joycons or official pro controller, I'd go back to being able to get them to work 100% of the time. Clearly, there is some sort of issue with the analog sticks. Not sure if it's a polling rate issue, or maybe a deadzone issue. All I know is that it happened consistently, and even after calibrating them manually the issue persisted. This is one of those controllers that you hand off to a younger sibling or a friend when you have no other controllers. I'd personally stay away from this if I were you, and will be throwing it away after this review is submitted.
