Great for Elderly

I have an elderly relative who suffers from confusion and is unable to perform relatively simple things like dialing a phone number. The regular remote just confuses her and takes her into areas of menus and settings I didn't even know I had. This "Weemote" is beautiful. Originally developed for young children learning how to use a TV, its ease of use and simple function makes it ideal for adults who are no longer able to use complex remote controls. I've set her channel guide to only show the channels she's watching and the up and down button on the remote scrolls through them. You can use the number buttons to pre-program a specific channel, e.g. B. "Number 4 - Messages". Each channel button also has a different shape, so the user can tell that "the circle is news" if that suits them better. The remote control is a good size - chunky enough to be easy to hold but not too big for a good grip. We're both happy with it, as the frustration caused by having so many extra buttons on the big one caused by pressing the wrong button has been virtually eliminated. She's in a phase where she sometimes gets confused between the channel view buttons and volume buttons, or forgets what number her stories are on etc., but that's a far cry from the level of frustration we've had before, and has little to do with the remote control. . The remote control is as simple as it gets while still functioning to a reasonable degree. This severely affected her ability to watch television alone. While I think this remote could also control a DVD player, I set it up to just run a satellite box and TV and it was very easy. The adjustment area is located inside the battery cover and is screwed down, giving the user no way of unintentionally resetting anything. I would definitely recommend this if the regular remote control is getting too complicated.
