Review on Culina Pro 3-Piece Set of Forged German Steel Knives - Ideal Starter Kit by Summer Lopez

I bought these for a lightning price of 39.99 and although I bought them as an 'additional' to my Wusthof set, my husband and I often buy them first. The set itself consists of the perfect kitchen knives, a chef's knife, a serrated tomato knife and a paring knife. We only need the knives in addition and they are of very high quality. I'm glad I read the reviews because while our experience with these knives has been great (it's been 6 months) there may be something going on with the returns from all the folks concerned about where the steel is going. (to me they appear to be German steel - I suppose the Chinese can buy steel from Germany in this crazy age, as can America) but I would be unhappy if they arrived in the condition some claim. I bought these because I bought a large skillet from Culina and was very impressed with the quality so I was keen to try these knives. But I hesitate to really recommend them in this LD promotion because of others' experience when they got them. Even though I bought it from an LD promotion, it's now listed for what I paid for. So the buyer has to be careful. You can get someone's rejection, not the perfect set we got.
