Review on πŸ”© LQ Industrial 12 Pack Bronze Round Head Slotted Chicago Screws 8x10x10mm Nail Rivet for DIY Leather Craft by Linda Diaz

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor tolerances and build quality, but cheap ie.

What's good: they are usually screwed together. They will work in certain circumstances, although not all. Cons: The depth of the tap is inconsistent and some are so bad you can't reliably use it on thin leather, chrome, or vegetable tanning. They're small and I bought them SPECIFICALLY for use on thinner skin so I'm deducting a star. In addition, the faucet is not always in the middle. It's probably not noticeable once they're installed unless you're trying to use them to align another part, but it's annoying and indicative of poor overall build quality, so another star. Finally, the tap isn't even all the way through, so it can be hand-tightened part of the way, but you'll need a screwdriver much sooner than you'd expect. Three stars discounted so I have a 2 star rating. Also, the ball above them is pretty small; Nothing like the nice big ones you find on screws you find at a store like Tandy. I would call that an aesthetic choice, not a quality issue, so I'm not deducting a star for that. However, I prefer a larger head. You get what you pay for. Might be worth buying if you want something cheap that gets the job done and don't care about quality, but you can't reliably use them on thin skin and they have enough annoying issues to make me take my next order elsewhere to search.
