First of all, mechanically this laptop worked great. The company that shipped it also shipped it very quickly and arrived earlier than the scheduled date. Now that there is nothing positive, why am I sending it back? Say what you will about me, but I didn't realize that this device uses a different operating system. Originally I wanted an inexpensive laptop for word processing. Chrome OS doesn't allow that. Functionally it could, but it was designed as an internet browser and nothing more. Do you have a cell phone? Well, your phone can do everything this device can do and then some. Why would anyone want a laptop with fewer features than a phone? Many programs support different operating systems. They don't currently work with Chrome OS. You can't even try to download them. I've heard you can download apps (not that I've experienced it myself), but that would be the only software download you have access to. Now that leads to my final complaint, the device is mostly online. only. The browser cannot work without the Internet and with this device. It seems so dependent on it that it actually crashed when I tried to remove the only WiFi connection it had. (Which reminds me that you can't factory reset this device. That's impossible, take it how you like.) When you start this device for the first time, you're forced to connect to the internet. You can choose not to enter your Google account details, but this will prevent you from proceeding without the internet. Tldr: Get nothing with Chrome OS. Your phone can do much more than ever before.
