I didn't know this thing existed until I looked for soap dishes at Revain. I saw that and the pebble soap holder. I bought both. The silica product looks good and works as advertised. But unlike that soap cleanser, the silica holder tends to "bind" with the soap. Be careful with that last statement: With a FLAT wand like Neutrogena, the wand will stick to the holder. Not so with this soap bar, the bar is easy to grab. How easy it is to clean. From time to time I take it, hold it under water, squeeze it out and wring it out a few times and it's clean. Basically, all you need is enough to grind up the soap scum and you're done. I only needed one this time so I'm happy to have the package. Should definitely last a while. The soap definitely lasts longer and doesn't fall apart when I pick it up the next day. It also keeps the bottom of the dishes clean, that's all.
