This fan is the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. I bought it because I want it to be "quiet". This fan was not quiet at all. My roommate and I installed and reinstalled it in a desperate attempt to keep it from "popping" when spinning. It's a loud noise, as if the internal mechanism makes contact with a different part each time it rotates. Sometimes it stops making noise only to start up again after a few minutes and keep going for the next hour until I can't take it anymore and just turn everything off. Also noisy at low speeds. It's noisy and won't let you sleep. DO NOT buy this fan if you like a good night's sleep or generally don't like annoying loud noises. I posted a video mainly just so you can hear the audio. It's hard to hear on videos unless the volume is turned up, but late at night when it's quiet the fan makes the loudest noise I've heard through noise-cancelling gaming headphones.
