Review on 📀 Sony SLV-D550P DVD/VCR Combo: A Powerful Combination for Entertainment Enthusiasts by Michael Willis

Like many others I buy SONY, no need for reviews, I assumed I was buying a quality product. What amazed me was that I saw on several review sites that the average life cycle is nine months! Well I bought mine on 7/17/2005 and haven't worked since 1/17/2006; Exactly 6 months. The warranty is for 90 days, after that I have to pay for both shipping and return and labor, the warranty only covers parts. My problem? VHS works; DVD sound comes and goes. The price for what SONY is charging me is almost what I paid for this piece of junk. After saying NO I was offered a refurbished one for €35! How much did they get back? No thank you. It's just sad to see a good company use their good name and no longer care what product they offer their loyal customers. After reading more reviews, DO NOT ACCEPT and the updated version, it did NOT work for many people on CNET!
