I bought this because it has a separate pad to attach to the dashboard and then a regular suction cup sticks to it. I'm hoping this will hold up better in the heat as they always come up in the summer. The only downside with this so far is that the side mounts on the mount itself are quite low. In fact, for those with larger phones, the entire mount needs to be larger. It works with mine but has hesitations but is still secure. A taller mount with larger brackets would solve this problem. If you don't have a high-end (flagship) phone, you'll probably be fine. However, I would buy this again.
