The box reads "designed in Germany," and this keyboard is indeed as solid as a German Panzer VIII Maus tank. The ergonomic design is comfortable, the material (plastic) is solid and it has large keys. It is a high profile, bulky, and loud keyboard. At its highest point, It rises 2.25 inches from the desk/table surface (a full 2.75 inches when the front legs are extended). Think of it as an ergonomic version of the IBM keyboards of yesteryear. If you are someone who likes to hit the keys hard and hear their click/clack, this keyboard is for you. If you are looking for something less bulky and low profile, you need to find a different product. I returned mine.
