Fairly easy to install but I had to move four flimsy circuit breakers down to clear the slots closest to the neutral tab. It does have a short lead to connect to neutral, but that is by design as you need the shortest route to get rid of the surges. To install switches in this plate, align the tab on the plate with the notch in the switch. Make sure the switch clicks easily into place. I've had one of these circuit breakers on my Square D panel for a number of years and they seem to protect against the power outages we had back then. Please note that this conforms to UL 1449 Third Edition. There are second edition versions for about $20 less. Note that you'll still need surge protector strips, or better yet, outlets for electronics like TVs. This breaker protects your dishwasher, washing machine, etc., ie those items that are less sensitive to surges.
