There are many reviews for this item but none refer to its use for perfume/cologne collections, for reference. I have 19 colognes. (only about 3.4 ounces) and I was looking for something that would help me store them easily. I measured the closet space where I now have everything together and decided to blind buy this item if you will. anyway looks good). It's solid and doesn't feel cheap. Real Life Usage: This doesn't work for colognes, period. The little "bulges" that make it non-slip ensure that the cologne bottles don't just stand there, but balance on bumps, think cologne bottle (thin and long). Well, the bulges are wide enough that the bottle could easily tip over if placed on it. I was disappointed. Also I got a non expandable one and I could put maybe 4 bottles on one shelf that's it combined with the fact that I thought the bottles would tip over unless I was very careful to say this product didn't works to meet my specific needs. To be honest, I store a lot more bottles in this thing's footprint than when I'm using it.
