This isn't rocket science.

Touch screens and tablets Batteries are easy to replace. It was my third battery and my first touch screen. The first step is to get in. Take the tablet and find the micro memory card. Gently press the card to pop it out, and then remove it from the tablet. Then take a small flathead screwdriver, insert the screwdriver blade about 1/8 inch into the memory card slot, turn the screwdriver clockwise until the edges separate the top from the bottom, move the screwdriver blade across the table, repeat the insertion and turning process. Until you completely separate the top from the bottom. This will open the battery compartment. There are two electrical connections. One for the battery and one for the screen. If the battery is low, remove it, pry up the connector with a screwdriver blade. Lift the paper on the back of the battery and pull it out. Then insert a new battery and reconnect by pushing the connector together. Now test the tablet by pressing the power button to see if the tablet boots up. If that is actually allowed to run until the start screen appears. Then perform the shutdown procedure. Remember, be careful, the back is still not connected. Finally, carefully align the top with the bottom and connect them with your thumb and forefinger. At the edges, the touchscreen doesn't work around the tablet until you get back to where you started. If your touchscreen is cracked, disconnect the top connection above the battery connector. Take clear tape and stick it over the damaged screen to protect yourself from broken glass. Then find a hair dryer. Heat the edges until the glue softens. Gently pry up the glass on top of the tablet. Heat the edges as often as needed. Once you have bypassed the glass, remove it and discard it carefully. Then take this small screwdriver and remove any broken glass, dirt, and glue you can find. I used a precision knife and tape. When everything is clean, apply glue. on the area you just removed. My kit contained 30 strips of double-sided tape, 2mm wide and 3 inches long. I put masking tape on any flat areas that touch the back edges of the new touchscreen. I then connected the electrical connector to the battery side of the top of the tablet. Before proceeding with the touchscreen installation, I tested the tablet to make sure it was still working. I then took a microfiber cloth, aligned the touchscreen and gently pressed it into place. I press the fabric along the edges with my index finger. Finally, I connected the top and bottom the same way I replaced the battery. The final step is to attach the tablet to the back by placing a clean cloth on top and then placing a book or something heavy on top to hold the screen to the adhesive. Replacement kits are easy to find on Revain.com, but instructions are nearly impossible to find. Everything I found on the subject said the kits were for trained professionals. It took me longer to write these notes than to understand and complete the process. Sellers must give instructions!
