Bought 2 of these to use with my new MSI 27 inch gaming monitors. I figured I could use the cables that came with the monitors and that would probably be fine, but these cables are a lot heavier in construction. The braid is nice and strong, these cables should last a long time. The connection is firm, which is good for any type of cable. Good price and value. More expensive cables would not lead to better picture quality. I would buy them again. It should be noted that prior to using these new DP cables, I used my old HDMI cables when I got my first monitors. When these new DP cables were shipped to me, I couldn't get my monitors to display anything. I later found out that I had to turn off and unplug my monitors and tower for a few minutes to get my EVGA Nvidia graphics card and MSI monitors to turn themselves on the first time I used the DP cables on power up"reset". I had to find this fix by digging through the forums. At first I thought there was something wrong with my new monitors and then my graphics card, but everything is working now. You can do the same if you are currently using a different type of cable before using a new type like these DPs. Can save headaches.
